How to reach the hotel from downtown
Kumudra Hill is located at the entrance of the city, near the welcome arch (Mod Oo in Burmese).
If you arrive by train or by bus, just send us a message the day before or give us a phone call when you reach town, we will send our free shuttle to pick you up.
If you're coming by car, ask the driver to find Skate Kwin road in San Pheik Quarter, behind the cemetery.

Getting to Hsipaw
BY PLANE: The nearest airport is in Lashio, at 1 hour 45 minutes from Hsipaw. We can arrange a taxi to the airport.
BY TRAIN: The train ride from Mandalay to Hsipaw is famous for crossing the spectacular Gokteik viaduct. The train leaves Mandalay at 4.00 am and reaches Hsipaw at 3.00 pm. A good option to shorten the trip is to spend the night at Pyin Oo Lwin, one hour drive away from Mandalay. The train from Mandalay to Hsipaw makes a stop at Pyin Oo Lwin at 7.52 am, and leaves for Hsipaw at 8.22 am.
In the opposite direction, the train for Mandalay leaves from Hsipaw at 9.40 am and reaches Mandalay at 10.40 pm. Tickets are sold the same day at the station, half an hour before the train departure. You can stop on the way at Pyin Oo Lwin (the train reaches Pyin Oo Lwin at 4.05 pm), and get a taxi to Mandalay from there.
Direct buses: Hsipaw is connected daily to Yangon, Mandalay, Bagan, Inle, Kalaw, Taungyi and Nay Pyi Taw by direct night buses. Night buses leave Hsipaw between 3.30 pm and 7.00 pm, depending of the destination. The price of a ticket is between 10 and 16 usd, depending on the company and on the type of bus.
Minivans: Hsipaw is connected daily by minivan to Inle, Taungyi and Mandalay. Minivans leave Hsipaw in the morning. The price of a seat is between 12 and 14 usd.
Taxis: Taxis run every day between Hsipaw and Mandalay. It is easy to get a vehicle (it costs about 50 usd for a 6 hours ride till downtown Mandalay) or to get a seat on a shared taxi (about 12 usd per person). Shared taxis usually leave Hsipaw in the morning.
